Sam’s Club MS150 Bicycle Tour, May 4 & 5.
The ride is a 160-mile cycling journey to raise money to fund the care and the cure for 20,000 Texans affected by Multiple Sclerosis. The 2013 Tour again starts in Frisco and ends at Texas Motor speedway. This two-day non-competitive cycling adventure challenges riders of all ages, levels and abilities. This is not your routine walk around the lake, and the event provides an excellent opportunity for you to stretch your operational and equipment capabilities. We have many assignments from rest stops, shadows, APRS, and others.
Amateur radio operators are needed to provide the critical communication needs that this event must have to succeed. Hundreds of area hams have volunteered over the past 19 years, and they are needed once again!
Volunteer for both days, or choose Saturday or Sunday. Special SAG vehicles will be available to return Saturday-only Communicators to the starting area in Frisco.
Two meters will be the primary mode of communication, and we need lots of APRS equipment.
