Musings from the Vice President

November 2017

Anyone interested in helping with ECOM at disasters should definitely be at our November meeting. Our own David Gilpin K5GIL, has started a speaker exchange program. He has been going to other amateur radio clubs and giving his excellent LED presentation. The Plano club, K5PRK, has arranged to get us a very good speaker in November. He is Sean Kelley, KD5HGS. His topic will be “An After Action Report of the Canton Tornado: 30 April 2017.” Sean will give us his perspectives when Amateur Radio Operators are asked to help at disasters. How we should act, what challenges we face, and the good things we can bring to the scene.

As you see from his Public Service and Amateur Radio record. He knows what he is talking about.
